Styled Shoot

Last week we worked with a talented group of people to showcase the Fox Theater in Redwood City. A local venue option for Bay Area brides, the Fox Theater is a step back in time with deep, rich tones throughout the building, a great lobby space perfect for cocktail hour, and a grand stage and theater for your guests to celebrate. We were asked to create a sultry art deco look for "bride" Sasha (I envisioned a deep burgandy lip and rich brows) and a fresh 1950s look for "bride" Sarah (Jenn teased the hair to the perfect bouffant height to balance the voluminous veil). We love these gorgeous images courtesy of Auey Santos of Photografitti. Here we are back stage in one of the many dressing room, sculpting the birdcage veil on Sasha.

Geek Chic

My good friend Jeneille contacted me last year with news that she and her bf of a decade were finally tying the knot. I was so excited and honored to share this day with her. Jeneille and I met in a theater class in college and after graduation she began working in the fashion industry. So it's no surprise that she hand selected the bridesmaids dresses, picked specifically to match each style and in a color that complemented each individual skin tone. What a lucky group! Jeneille is a caring, thoughtful person and after spending time with her friends and mom this past Saturday, it's clear that she is well loved back!

With the help of her friends and family, Jeneille executed an incredible DIY wedding at Kohl Mansion in Burlingame. By hosting craft workshops she called "Sweatshop Saturdays" she cranked out some amazing projects... bouquets made from the pages of Harry Potter (her groom's favorite book), handmade tutus for her flower girls, and Lego boutonnières. This wedding had many heartfelt details that made the party their own. Here are a few snapshots of the details and Jenn in action!

Jeneille left to change at the venue so we didn't get to see the final look with her dress. We can't wait to see the official pictures from our new friend Nate Fong! Congratulations Jeneille!

Last Weekend...

We got ready in a kindergarten classroom adjacent to the church, surrounded by goldfish, storybooks and crayons. Here are a few images from Heidi's purple wedding...
